Inventory Officer (Abeokuta)
- The Inventory Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating inventory audits, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth operations within the factory’s supply chain.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions.
- Regularly conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet production demands.
Inventory Control:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and losses.
- Identify and address areas for improvement in inventory management processes.
- Implement measures to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
Stock Replenishment:
- Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Generate purchase orders based on inventory levels and production forecasts.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to stock delivery and quality.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system or designated inventory management software.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, stock movements, and trends for management review.
- Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all incoming and outgoing stock meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address any quality issues related to inventory.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing inventory management.
- Maintain documentation and records necessary for audits and regulatory inspections.
Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
