Position Overview: As a Transmitter Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining transmitter systems used in various
communication applications. You will work closely with a team of engineers to the successful deployment and operation of transmitter equipment, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop transmitter systems based on project requirements and specifications. This includes selecting appropriate components, circuit design, and PCB layout.
- Testing and Evaluation: Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of transmitter systems to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability. This may involve simulation, prototype testing, and compliance testing.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports. Maintain accurate records of design changes and test results.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure transmitter systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NBC regulations for radio frequency devices.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for transmitter systems during all stages of development and deployment. Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that transmitter systems meet quality standards and reliability requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years hands-on experience in a radio or television broadcasting station.
- Must have handled or worked on transmitter for a minimum of 10 years preferably in a radio broadcasting station
- Proven experience in the design and development of transmitter systems, preferably in the telecommunications or broadcasting industry.
- Proficiency in RF circuit design, modulation techniques, and signal processing.
- Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with software-defined radio (SDR) platforms.
- Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms.
- Experience with antenna design and characterization.
