Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
- As the Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, adhering to housekeeping standards, and Good GMP guidelines.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
- Minimize unplanned downtime by implementing efficient maintenance schedules and rapid response.
- Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of equipment and machinery through proactive maintenance.
- Efficient Completion of maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adherence to housekeeping standards and GMP guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Corrective Maintenance: Conduct scheduled corrective maintenance tasks on equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Housekeeping and GMP: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following established housekeeping protocols and GMP guidelines. Ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Prepare accurate reports and documentation as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and best practices. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, external vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
The Person
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in manufacturing (such as vegetable oil).
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members, delegate tasks effectively and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop innovative solutions, and implement process improvements.
- Deep commitment to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on creating a safe working environment.
