RIO Foundation is seeking a dynamic and motivated Grants & Fundraising Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the organization’s grant portfolio, from identification and application to reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Identification and Research:
- Identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other donor agencies.
- Conduct thorough research to understand donor priorities and requirements.
Proposal Development:
- Prepare high-quality grant proposals ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Collaborate with program managers and finance staff to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals.
Grant Management:
- Monitor compliance with grant agreements and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure financial accountability.
Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors and funding agencies.
- Respond to donor inquiries and participate in donor meetings or site visits.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of grant-related documents, including agreements, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare and submit regular and ad-hoc reports to donors as required.
Other Responsibilities: Perform other related projects or work as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline).
- Strong understanding of proposal writing, budgeting, and grant compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
