Aviation Manager
Position Summary
- The Aviation Manager will report to the Director of Aviation and oversee the operations of the company’s aviation department. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in aviation management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, cost-effective, and efficient aviation services tailored to the Nigerian aviation landscape.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA regulations and other relevant Nigerian aviation laws.
- Proven experience in aviation operations management, preferably within a corporate or commercial aviation setting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing aviation budgets.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and overall management of corporate flight operations.
- Ensure full compliance with NCAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Manage aviation personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement policies to optimize safety, efficiency, and cost management.
- Monitor operational expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage budgetary allocations.
- Collaborate with senior management to align aviation services with corporate objectives.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend enhancements to improve operations.
Work Environment
- The role requires occasional travel within and outside Nigeria.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
