Business Development Executive
Our Client, book publishing company that is focused on contemporary topics that impact our audience intellectually, emotionally, economically, and socially as well as meeting their entertainment needs. Due to Expansion they are in need of a Business Development Executive.
Location: Lagos(Iyana-Oworo, Gbagada Axis)
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify publishing industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging growth opportunities.
- Analyze market data, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform and refine business development strategies.
- Identify and generate new business leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients, partners, and
- collaborators.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients, publishing partners, and key stakeholders.
- Understand client needs in the publishing sector and provide customized solutions to help them achieve their objectives.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations, pitches, and proposals to potential clients or partners.
- Effectively showcase the company’s publishing products, services, and unique value propositions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, book fairs, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and manage potential risks associated with new business initiatives and partnerships within the publishing industry.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to relationship building.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools is an advantage.
