Business Development Executive
Role Description:
- The BDE will join our young and energetic team to drive the growth and expansion of TravelDeer Nigeria by identifying new opportunities and bringing up innovative ideas that our customers/clients would love as well as fostering strategic partnerships, and cultivating relationships with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be passionate about travel, have a solid background in business development within the travel industry, with exceptional communication skills and an ability to learn quickly and pay attention to details.
Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities to expand TravelDeer Nigeria’s client/customer base within the travel industry, including publicly listed companies, government institutions, and medium-sized enterprises
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets and revenue goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, paying attention to their needs and unique requirements to effectively propose tailored solutions
- Collaborate with other team members to develop comprehensive proposals, brochures, presentations and any other relevant sales materials that meet client expectations of a powerful travel brand
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategies
- Represent TravelDeer Nigeria at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and partnerships with clients and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for TravelDeer
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development initiatives, analyzing key metrics and adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights
Qualifications
- Minimum HND certificate holder (marketing or Business administration is an added advantage)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Professional in any industry – preferably in the travel industry
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent in Persuasive ability
- Experience with any CRM software
- Collaboration Skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent organization and time management skills

Bonus:
- Experience in the travel industry
Remuneration: NGN: 70,000 – 120,000
