Job Description
- A furniture installer, also known as a furniture assembly technician or furniture technician, is responsible for the installation, assembly, and disassembly of various types of furniture.
- The primary role of a furniture installer is to ensure that furniture pieces are properly and safely assembled, meeting quality standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and Installation: Furniture installers are skilled in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and blueprints. They use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble and install furniture pieces such as beds, tables, chairs, cabinets, shelves, desks, and wardrobes.
- Measurement and Layout: Furniture installers measure and mark the placement of furniture items to ensure accurate installation. They may use measuring tapes, levels, and other tools to ensure proper alignment and positioning of furniture.
- Quality Control:It is the responsibility of furniture installers to perform quality checks to ensure that the furniture is assembled correctly and meets all safety standards. They inspect for any defects, missing parts, or damage and take appropriate action to rectify the issues.
- Follow production drawing according to instructions and client expectation.
- Operate woodworking machines such as cutting machine and edge binding machines
- Accurate coupling & installation of panels to specified furniture.
- Compliance to safety and health procedures in the factory.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an FSLC, NCE, OND, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 – 5 years work experience.
