Development Officer
Job Summary:
- The Development Officer will engage in activities related to fundraising and development strategies, including writing proposals and grant applications.
- They will be responsible for researching grant opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals, and managing relationships with funding organizations.
- The Development Officer will work closely with the project teams to develop compelling proposals that align with our organization’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
- Collaborate with the program team to understand project requirements and develop targeted grant proposals.
- Write clear, persuasive, and compelling grant proposals, ensuring they meet the requirements of the funding organization.
- Prepare budgets and financial documentation to support grant proposals.
- Manage the grant application process, including submission, follow-ups, and reporting requirements ensuring deadlines are met.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with funding organizations, donors, and partners.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and grant funding opportunities.
- Prepare progress reports and updates for existing grants, ensuring compliance with grant agreements.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and collateral related to fundraising initiatives.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of grants, submissions, and responses for reference and reporting.
