Director, University Health Services

Function(s)

  • The Director, University Health Services, is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in providing professional and administrative leadership at the University Health Centre(s).
  • The Director performs the duties of Chief Medical Director, recommends the appointment of staff, and oversees their deployments.
  • Additionally, the Director initiates and makes recommendations for manpower development, provides community services in accordance with the town and gown relationship, and undertakes other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements
Qualification(s):

  • Must possess an MBBS Degree from a recognised institution;
  • Must be a registered member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN);
  • Must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate or Letter of Exclusion where applicable;
  • Appropriate computer literacy is mandatory; 5. Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a medical practitioner.

Duration:

  • The tenure of the Director is for a single term of five (5) years, non-renewable on Salary Scale CONMESS 7.
