Job Objective:
- As the Head, Plant Operations, you will spearhead the development and implementation of processes to maximize safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Your primary focus will be on coordinating and monitoring plant activities to ensure optimal performance and adherence to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, manage, and optimize overall manufacturing facilities’ operations and financial performance.
- Oversee production output, product quality, and plant equipment efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Collect and analyze operational metrics to set performance targets and meet revenue and cost goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Recommend and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) for production operations.
- Supervise quality standards and enforce quality control programs.
- Collaborate with HR to establish process metrics and achieve performance targets.
- Support labor relations negotiations and engage with stakeholders on plant operations matters.
- Prepare annual production budgets and manage production budgets for projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Motivate and coach the team to operational success.
- Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through data analysis.
- Make recommendations for equipment acquisition to support production activities.
- Participate in training programs for self and team members.
- Make monthly and periodic presentations on production activities to the board of directors.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the CEO.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, or social sciences preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in leading Milling/FMCG Manufacturing operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management.
- Post-graduate qualifications such as a master’s degree in business administration are advantageous.
- Demonstrable knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory management, and continuous improvement processes within the manufacturing value chain.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
