HR Officer

Job Overview:

  • The HR Officer plays a key role in supporting the HR department in the administration of day-to-day human resources operations. This position is responsible for implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting in candidate selection.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires are introduced to the company culture and policies.

Employee Records Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Process employee data related to hiring, promotions, and terminations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Assist with payroll processing by ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee data.
  • Support employees with queries regarding benefits, pay, and other HR-related inquiries.

Training & Development:

  • Assist in organizing employee training programs and development initiatives.
  • Maintain training records and help assess the effectiveness of training sessions.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance review process by assisting in tracking employee performance, feedback, and goal-setting.
  • Help coordinate performance improvement plans and employee recognition initiatives.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, offering support and resolving issues as needed.
  • Promote a positive work environment through communication and conflict resolution.

Compliance & Policy Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

HR Reporting:

  • Prepare regular HR reports, including headcount, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assist in audits of HR data and records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in any other HR-related activities or projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in an HR department.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Familiarity with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices.
