Job Overview
- The Manager, Corporate Finance will assist the Head, Corporate Finance in executing M&A strategies, handle financial modeling, and manage transaction execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing financial plans and strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals. This includes analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and conducting risk assessments
- Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Play a vital role in the M&A process, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and negotiating deals to ensure successful transactions.
- Capital Structure Management: Managing the company’s capital structure which involves optimizing the mix of equity and debt financing to maintain a healthy balance between risk and return.
- Investor Relations: Establishing and maintaining relationships with investors and analysts involving communicating financial performance and company strategy to stakeholders
- Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuations, and due diligence for potential transactions.
- Assist in providing corporate finance advisory services to the bank’s clients, including financial restructuring, project finance, and investment advisory.
- Provide support in reviewing and analyzing clients’ financial needs and structuring financial solutions to meet those needs.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, projections, and stress testing to support business decisions
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and investment memos for senior management and board approvals.
- Support capital-raising initiatives, including debt, equity, and structured financing.
- Engage with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to explore funding options.
- Prepare materials for investor presentations and financial proposals.
- Assist in the preparation of key financial performance reports and presentations for senior management.
- Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments impacting corporate finance.
- Support the identification and assessment of financial risks associated with corporate finance activities.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory standards for corporate finance and transactions.
- Collaborate with risk management, legal, and compliance teams to ensure that all transactions and financial activities meet regulatory and internal risk management requirements.
- Work closely with other team members within the corporate finance department and across other departments, such as legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure the seamless execution of transactions.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior team members, ensuring they develop the necessary skills for growth.
- Financial Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks, such as currency fluctuations, interest rate risks, and market volatility, to protect the company’s financial position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (such as CFA, ICAN, ACCA) or an MBA would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience in financial modeling, valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising.
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial instruments, corporate finance strategies, and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and the use of financial analysis tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
