Knowledge Management Advisor
Job role:
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:
- Lead the aggregation and validation of research/survey data and generate learnings.
- Track and document outcomes of programme implementation and communicate trends to Programme management for decision making.
- Co-manage the MNCH, contraceptive continuation and ASRH effectiveness studies for purpose of generating learnings.
- Support the research team in the development of survey/research protocols and tools.
- Lead in the optimisation of key programme strategies and document shifts as well as trade-offs.
- Coordinate national and sub-national D2A processes to optimise programme performance.
- Lead on NHMIS engagements/reviews and support states in to strengthen capacity on the DHIS2..
- Lead in the development of knowledge products and organise national/global knowledge dissemination events.
Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum Qualification:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Sociology, Public health, Statistics, Public Policy, Demography & Social Statistics. Professional training in Project Management, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation.
- A minimum of 7 years progressive experience leading knowledge management and contributing to national/global goods.
Other Qualification and Experience:
- Practical experience in implementation science and strong research skills.
- Technical writing skills with demonstratable evidence of scientific papers published.
- Practical experience of navigating management information systems such as DHIS2, electronic data collection or any other mHealth systems.
- Experience in data analysis using software such as Ms Excel, Stata or SPSS
- Good understanding of FP2020, PMA and DHS data relating to SRH.
- Experience supporting the delivery of results, learning, capacity building including development of framework for strengthening of Monitoring & Evaluation, KM and Learning systems.
Skills and Competencies required.
Technical:
- Expert in technical reports generation/presentation for high calibre audience.
- Versed in technical publications, scientific papers/manuscripts, briefs and abstracts.
- Experienced in organizing and leading knowledge sharing strategies/events.
- Skilled in documentation and packaging of progam learning for external audience.
- Qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Use of statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, Epi-Info, Ethnograph/Nvivo as well as the application of statistics to programming
