Tyre Technician / Vulcanizer

Responsibilities
- Liaise with vehicle/equipment operators about any issues they are experiencing.
- Inspect and assess tyre tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health.
- Recommend appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tyres.
- Repair punctures and replacing faulty valves.
- Installing new tyres.
- Balancing tyres and completing wheel alignment procedures.
- Retreading tyres for tractors and other off-road vehicles.
- Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment.
- Conducting on-site repairs
- Extensive knowledge of tire patterns and material composition.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
Education & Qualification
- SSCE, GCE, or NECO qualification
- Trade Test 1, 2, and 3 in vulcanizing heavy-duty equipment maintenance
- At least five years proven work experience as a tire technician.

Responsibilities
- Undertakes Planned Maintenance tasks
- Undertakes Reactive maintenance tasks
- Identifies materials required for tasks.
- Undertakes PAT testing.
- Tests new and existing installations
- Undertakes electrical installation works
- Assist in the identification of critical spares items.
- Monitor contractor’s progress and standard of work.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology
- Trade Test Electrical Installation & Maintenance work
Experience:

5 years’ work experience within the electrical industry, preferable maintenance.
