Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist (HealthTech)

Job Overview

  • The Technical Recruiter (HealthTech) plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top technical talent for healthcare technology companies. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing highly specialized candidates in software engineering, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics, to coordinating interviews and negotiating offers. The recruiter collaborates closely with hiring managers, ensuring alignment between talent acquisition strategies and business needs, while also staying informed on industry trends, compliance regulations, and competitive hiring practices to drive growth in the HealthTech sector.
  • Core Responsibilities: Manages the end-to-end recruitment process for technical roles within the HealthTech industry, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring specialized IT and healthcare technology professionals.
  • Industry Focus: Specializes in recruiting for the HealthTech sector, including software engineers, data scientists, AI/ML specialists, cybersecurity experts, cloud architects, and other technical roles specific to healthcare technology.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Uses job boards, LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other platforms to identify and attract top technical talent. Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Technical Screening: Conducts initial technical assessments and collaborates with hiring managers to evaluate candidates’ technical proficiency in HealthTech-related technologies, programming languages, and frameworks.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedules and conducts interviews, coordinating between candidates and internal stakeholders, including HR, hiring managers, and technical teams.
  • Job Description Development: Works with hiring managers to craft precise and compelling job descriptions tailored to technical roles in HealthTech.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develops and executes strategic hiring plans, leveraging recruitment marketing, employer branding, and referral programs to attract top talent.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives: Promotes inclusive hiring practices, ensuring diversity in talent sourcing and implementing unbiased evaluation criteria.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Works closely with technical teams and leadership to understand skill requirements, hiring needs, and team culture.
  • Candidate Experience Management: Ensures a seamless and positive candidate experience from initial outreach to onboarding, maintaining strong communication and engagement.
  • Offer Negotiation & Closing: Leads compensation and benefits negotiations, ensuring alignment with company policies and market trends while securing top talent.
  • Onboarding Support: Assists new hires with onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition into the company’s HealthTech ecosystem.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Awareness: Ensures recruitment practices adhere to healthcare and IT industry regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and labor laws.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conducts salary benchmarking, industry trend analysis, and competitive hiring strategy assessments to attract and retain top HealthTech talent.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Tracks key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate satisfaction, and retention rates to optimize recruitment processes.
  • Technology & Tools Proficiency: Uses applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment CRMs, AI-powered sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other technical hiring platforms.
  • Hands-On Activities: Actively sources, screens, interviews, negotiates offers, and engages with technical candidates; directly manages the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Quickly adjusts hiring strategies based on market demand, candidate availability, and evolving HealthTech industry needs.
  • Employer Branding & Outreach: Strengthens the company’s employer brand through social media recruitment, career fairs, hackathons, and industry networking events.
  • Professional Networking: Builds relationships with HealthTech professionals, attending conferences, webinars, and online communities to source top talent.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced and dynamic, requiring constant engagement with candidates, hiring managers, and evolving HealthTech trends.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to HR leadership, the CTO, or hiring managers, depending on the our company’s structure and growth stage.

Qualification and Skills

  • Proven experience in technical recruiting, preferably in HealthTech, digital health, or IT sectors.
  • Strong sourcing expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and AI-driven hiring tools.
  • Technical knowledge to assess candidates in cloud computing, software engineering, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and health IT.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with technical talent and hiring managers effectively.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment CRM software for efficient candidate management.
  • Understanding of compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and labor laws relevant to healthcare technology hiring.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth HealthTech environment.
