Job Description
- As an NYSC Lawyer. you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of legal practice under the supervision of experienced senior lawyers.
- This position offers a unique opportunity for recent law graduates participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program to kickstart their legal careers in different practice areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior lawyers in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and opinions.
- Support the preparation of legal documents for court proceedings, arbitration, and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Attend client meetings, hearings, and legal proceedings to gain practical insights into legal practice.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments affecting our clients’ industries.
- Assist in managing client relationships and maintaining communication to ensure client satisfaction.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
- Filling cases and applying for CTC’s and collection
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
- Currently undergoing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Nigeria.
- Strong academic record and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
- Demonstrated passion for the legal profession and a commitment to ethical standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools is desirable.
- Prior internship or work experience in a legal environment is an advantage.
