Logistics Workshop Manager
- We are seeking an experienced Logistics Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop facility.
- The Logistics Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of workshop operations, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure that vehicles and equipment are serviced, repaired, and maintained according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of work orders and minimize downtime.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to staff to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the workshop team.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational requirements and budget constraints.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies to ensure availability and minimize costs.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, environmental regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address any non-compliance issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and inventory records.
- Prepare reports on workshop performance, including productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Communicate regularly with management and other stakeholders to provide updates on workshop operations and performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in workshop management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
