PURPOSE

• Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of Poultry feed in Pellet and crumb forms.

THE JOB

• Prepare machine to produce feed pellets and crumbs.
• Checks and adjust steam valves to regulate temperature of machine.
• Adjusts ammeters and valves to regulate flow of material into the machine.
• Adjust rollers to crush pellets into crumb feeds.
• Tends to the bucket elevator to transfer pellets to the finished feed bin.

THE PERSON MUST

• Prepare machine to produce feed pellets and crumbs.
• Checks and adjusts steam valves to regulate temperature of machine.
• Adjusts ammeters and valves to regulate the flow of material into the machine.
• Adjust rollers to crush pellets into crumb feeds.
• Tends to the bucket elevator to transfer pellets to the finished feed bin.

QUALIFICATION

• O’ levels or Technical certificate ie NABTEB.
• At least OND Certificate in Science will be added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years experience assisting in pellet press operation.
• Mechanical aptitude will be an added advantage.
