Pipeline Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed pipeline designs, route alignments, and profiles using advanced engineering software and methodologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies, hydraulic analysis, stress analysis, and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Optimize pipeline layouts to minimize environmental impact and construction costs while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and select suitable pipeline materials based on project requirements, including corrosion-resistant alloys and coatings.
- Prepare technical specifications and ensure materials procurement aligns with project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with construction and installation teams to provide technical expertise during project execution.
- Conduct site surveys, installation feasibility studies, and provide engineering support to resolve on-site challenges.
- Perform rigorous quality checks and inspections to ensure pipeline components meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure all pipeline activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and progress reports to communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to pipeline engineering.
- Propose innovative solutions to improve pipeline design, construction, and installation processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience of 10years+ as a Pipeline Engineer in the oil and gas industry or a similar field, with expertise in subsea and onshore pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline design software (e.g., AutoPIPE, Caesar II) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME B31.4, B31.8, DNVGL, API 1104, etc.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Proven track record of ensuring safety and quality in all aspects of pipeline engineering.
