Procurement Officer
Responsibilities
- Identify potential suppliers/vendors through market research and solicit bids or proposals for goods and services.
- Evaluate and compare vendor quotations, negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure the best deals for the organization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
- Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Review purchase requisitions for completeness, clarity, and appropriate approval levels.
- Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods or services.
- Ensure all contracts and agreements with vendors are properly documented, maintained, and adhered to.
- Review contract terms, conditions, and performance to mitigate risks and optimize supplier performance.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Generate procurement reports for management as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role.in the hospitality industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical practices in procurement.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
