Production Manager
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage the manufacturing processes within our company.
- The Production Manager will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a team of production staff to meet production targets.
- This role plays a crucial part in achieving our company’s operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
- Create and maintain production schedules in the factory, ensuring on-time delivery of products.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Identify and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
- Manage production staff,
- Oversee resource allocation, including labour, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Continuously analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize excess or shortage of raw materials and finished products.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to improve accuracy and reduce waste.
- Monitor production expenses and develop cost-effective strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Report regularly to senior management on production performance and key metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency within the production department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management) with a minimum of 5 years experience in the same role.
- Proven experience in production management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical reasoning and decision-making abilities.
- Strong knowledge and use of Excel is a must.
- Agile and lean certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Experience in maintenance is an advantage
- The ability to apply data analytics in the interpretation of production reports to aid continuous improvement strategies is highly desirable.
