Project Architect
Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Architect to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural design and delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they meet the required standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Reports to: Senior Architect/Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects, including concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify defects, and ensure compliance with design intent and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and other documents to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve design and delivery processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Professional registration with the relevant architectural registration board.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on project delivery.
- Proven track record of successfully leading architectural projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent design, technical, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with sustainable design.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in architectural practice.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and planning requirements.
