Purchasing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
  • Vendor Selection: Continuously assess and select suppliers based on their capabilities, performance, and alignment with our company’s values and objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to strike the right balance between maintaining optimal stock and minimizing carrying costs.
  • Cost Control: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives while ensuring product quality and maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
  • Contract Management: Manage supplier contracts, monitor compliance, and resolve contractual issues as they arise.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and logistical factors.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effective procurement practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive procurement reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3-7 years experience as a procurement manager
  • Proven negotiation skills and a track record of delivering significant cost savings.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and contract law.

Remuneration

  • 500,000 – 700,000 (negotiable)
