Risk Specialist
Job Summary
- The Risk Specialist will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks across our organization.
- You will support the development, implementation, and strengthening of our company’s risk policies and framework.
- You will ensure that a consistent framework is in place to systematically manage the most significant risks. Additionally, you will support strategic projects through risk-based second opinion and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Risk Management Framework Implementation – Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to implement the risk management framework and related standards.
- Develop, monitor, and provide reporting on risk appetite statements and limits for operational and other risk categories.
- Risk Framework Development – Develop and improve risk identification, qualitative and quantitative assessment, mitigation, and monitoring for operational, emerging, and reputation risk frameworks.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with operational risk requirements.
- Risk Reporting and Management – Establish and manage reports to encourage transparency in information risk activities, projects, and initiatives. Coordinate, support, and supervise the proactive quantitative identification of main operational and emerging risks on a regular basis.
- Monitor action plans to detect delays or incomplete mitigation tasks proposed by the business lines.
- Risk Appetite Development – Support the development of the Operational Risk Appetite (tolerance levels and escalation limits). Escalate alerts and risk evolution to management.
- Risk Partnership – Create a fluid relationship to receive the alerts of new risks, controls failing,activity change, and new projects. Increase partnership with business units by regular participation in committees and projects.
- Participate in the provision of second opinion on operational and emerging risks on the Strategic Plan. Conduct regular training to management to increase risk awareness.
- Operations Resilience Support – Support the development, review, and implementation of Operational Resilience Policy.
- Ensure timely conclusion of the Operational resilience annual self-assessment.
- Support the development and monitoring of an action plan for Operational Resilience.
- Business Continuity Support – Support process owners in the development, review, and overall execution of the BIA process.
- Develop and deliver training to the BC Correspondents.
- Develop a consolidated BIA report, ensuring its validation and sign off by the BCM Sponsor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economic, Social Sciences or any related discipline
- Demonstrable experience of a minimum of 4 years
- Relevant understanding of risk management and corporate governance
- Good knowledge of security products
- Strong attention to detail
