Job Overview
- As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for overseeing sales operations, managing stock levels, and driving the performance of our stores and brands across the region.
- The Sales Manager will oversee the entire sales process, including forecasting, stock management, order placement, and sales analysis.
- This role is essential in ensuring that stock levels are aligned with market demands, sales goals are met, and the company maintains a competitive edge in the luxury beauty and fragrance industry.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of sales forecasting, and the ability to drive growth and resolve challenges in the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting, Order Processing, and Stock Management:
- Forecast warehouse order needs based on sales trends and store requirements to prevent both out-of-stock and overstock situations.
- Process store orders and monitor stock levels across all locations, ensuring efficient inventory management and timely replenishment.
- Work closely with the CEO or GM to monitor stock levels and place brand orders based on the analysis of sales trends and projected future needs.
Brand Order Placement:
- Weekly monitoring of overall stock levels and initiating orders in collaboration with the CEO or GM.
- Analyze sales data from product launches and year-to-date sales to propose appropriate order quantities for replenishment.
SKU Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis on SKU performance to identify why specific SKUs may not be selling well (e.g., price issues, marketing issues, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to address potential marketing-related issues and propose corrective actions.
Price Management:
- Regularly monitor product pricing to ensure alignment with global recommended prices while maintaining a competitive advantage in the market.
- Ensure pricing strategies support profitability while enhancing the appeal of our luxury offerings.
Store Sales Analysis:
- Monitor the sales performance of stores, identifying any issues or drops in sales.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement strategies that boost sales in underperforming stores.
- Investigate causes of sales drops and work to rectify these through targeted actions (e.g., promotions, stock adjustments, etc.).
Brand Sales Analysis:
- Identify underperforming brands in the portfolio and work with the marketing and operations teams to develop and implement strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with brand representatives and marketing to address issues related to product visibility, availability, and positioning.
Novelties and New Product Launches:
- Ensure all new product launches are appropriately allocated to stores in a timely manner.
- Work with the Tester Department to ensure product testers are available and well-distributed across stores.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Department to ensure new product launches receive adequate marketing support and visibility.
Sales Team Management and Training:
- Plan and direct the training of new Sales Representatives in coordination with the Trainer & HR team to ensure they are equipped with product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Set clear sales quotas and goals for sales representatives and stores, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, ensuring they remain motivated and focused on achieving sales targets.
Customer Complaints and Issue Resolution:
- Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding products or services, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the brand’s reputation for quality.
Coordination of Regional Sales Activities:
- Direct and coordinate all sales activities both locally and regionally, ensuring consistency in approach and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with regional teams to drive sales growth and optimize store performance across different territories.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the luxury beauty, fragrance, or skincare industry.
- Experience in wholesale and retail distribution, with a proven track record in managing stock levels, forecasting, and order processing.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales performance, address challenges, and improve sales results.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze SKU performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management, stock forecasting, and order processing.
- Expertise in pricing strategy and maintaining competitive pricing in a luxury market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
