Purpose:

• The Schoolwide Recreational Assistant will work with students across all grade levels to facilitate recreational activities during recess, lunchtime, and other designated times.
• The position will also require a primary role of supervising daily operations of the weight room facility. 
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong organizational skills, and a creative approach to recreational programming.
• The Schoolwide Recreational Assistant should have experience and/or a qualification in strength and conditioning/fitness. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the weight room, ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
• Assist with the development and implementation of effective strength and conditioning training programs for students and teachers 
• Supervise students from primary to middle school during recess periods to ensure their safety and well-being 
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of equipment and supplies used during recess
• Encourage positive social interactions among students
• Coordinate with the athletic director to assist in organizing equipment for ASA’s, tournaments, and athletic events. 
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for athletic equipment.
