Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and procurement strategy for MEPF & ELV projects.
- They will work closely with project teams to minimize costs, enhance value, and ensure quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare cost plans, contracts, budgets, Bills of Quantities and other documentation.
- Track changes in plans or constructions, update budgets
- Identify potential financial or construction risks and perform risk analysis evaluations
- Advise on property taxes, regulations and local laws
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the Project managers, design department and/or the client.
- Undertake cost and Tender analysis for company’s projects
- Establishing client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Perform risk, value management and cost control.
- Make valuations for submission to client/consultant and ensure quality control of work done
- Advise on procurement strategy.
- Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
- providing advice and forecasts about cost
- Attending project meetings and briefings where required.
Requirements
- University Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in the building services industry with a focus on Electromechanical, Firefighting, HVAC, plumbing and Extra-Low Voltage systems projects.
- Professional certification with Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN) and other Professional bodies like MRICS will be an added advantage.
