Video Production and Digital Operations Manager
Overview
- Are you a master of organization with a passion for making content come to life? I’m looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented professional to oversee the production and operations of my weekly content across my three channels, (two business and one ministry). Content will includeYouTube videos / Podcasts and social media posts.
- In this role, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. While I’ll be producing most of the content (sharing insights or being interviewed), your focus will be on making sure everything is filmed, edited, and published seamlessly.
- You’ll manage the entire production process—from scheduling and coordinating shoots, ensuring timely video editing, sourcing expert guests when necessary, to overseeing video uploads.
- You’ll also handle the logistics, ensuring that filming happens on schedule and that content is ready for distribution on time.
- This role requires a mix of creative, technical, and strategic expertise to grow and monetize our digital channels profitably, someone with solid technical knowledge in video production, editing workflows, and YouTube/Facebook marketing to ensure everything is optimized.

Key Responsibilities
Content Production and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for Podcasts/YouTube videosand social media posts aligning with overall business goals.
- Coordinate the recording schedule, ensuring timely production and distribution.
- Source and prepare topics for solo episodes or advice-based content.
Guest Management (Including myself):
- Identify and invite relevant experts to be guests on the show when applicable.
- Manage guest communications, scheduling, and pre-interview preparations.
- Ensure guests have a seamless and professional experience.
Technical Production:
- Act as the technical host during live recordings or interviews.
- Oversee the recording, editing, and publishing of high-quality audio and video content.
- Ensure all content meets technical and branding standards.
Marketing and Monetization:
- Optimize YouTube videos for SEO and discoverability.
- Implement strategies for YouTube monetization and Facebook marketing campaigns.
- Manage lead generation strategies to drive profitability.
- Track and analyze channel performance metrics to optimize growth and revenue.
Budget and Profit Management:
- Operate the content production process as a profit center.
- Manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI on all content and marketing activities.
Organization and Administration:
- Manage your calendar, content calendar, guest calendars, my calendar ensuring all appointments, recordings, and deadlines are organized.
- Keep production workflows streamlined and efficient.
Man Specification & Requirements
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in podcast or video production, including technical hosting and editing.
- Strong knowledge of YouTube monetization, Facebook marketing, and lead generation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage a budget and operate with a profit-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for guest sourcing and management.
- Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and podcasting tools (e.g., Audacity, Riverside.fm).
- Proficiency with conference and webinar tools such as Zoom, MS Teams, StreamYard, is essential.
Preferred Educational and Work Background:
Education and Certifications:
- A Degree in Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, Project Managementor or a related field is a plus.
- 4 – 10 years of experience.
- Certifications in YouTube SEO, Facebook Ads, or video editing (e.g., Udemy, Coursera, Google Digital Garage) are advantageous.
Relevant Experience:
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas will be prioritized:
- Media and Entertainment: Roles at organizations like TVC Communications, Channels TV, EbonyLife Media, or Cool FM, with experience in content production or broadcasting.
- Digital Marketing: Roles at agencies such as Pulse Nigeria, Digital Republic, Anakle, or Wild Fusion, specializing in content marketing, social media strategy, or performance marketing.
- Creative Agencies: Experience with agencies like Insight Redefini, X3M Ideas, or Noah’s Ark in storytelling and content creation.
- Tech or Startups: Roles at startups such as Techpoint Africa, Paystack, or Flutterwave, with experience in ROI-driven digital strategies.
- Freelance and Independent Creators: Experience as a freelance video editor, podcast producer, or digital marketer with a proven portfolio of successful projects.
Compensation:
- Competitive and commensurate with experience, with potential performance-based incentives.
