Role Summary

• As a Research Assistant Volunteer, you will contribute to ERA’s research efforts by assisting with data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will support ongoing projects aimed at improving emergency response systems and public health solutions. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop skills in data analysis, and contribute to a meaningful cause. The position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to health emergencies, response times, and the effectiveness of emergency medical services.
• Support the development and execution of research projects related to public health and emergency response solutions.
• Collaborate with the research team to prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data, conducting quality control checks and validation.
• Maintain organized records of data and research materials.
• Assist in the preparation of research papers, publications, and other documents.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in public health and emergency response trends to enhance research relevance.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate with a degree in Public Health, Medical Sciences, or a related field.
• Second Class Upper (2:1) or First Class degree preferred.
• Strong interest in research, particularly in the public health or emergency response sector.
• Basic experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, or similar tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
